To update your profile, you must visit the Edit Profile page. You can move through the different parts of your profile by clicking the tabs at the top of the page.

In the upper right corner of your screen, there is a search box. Click on ADVANCE SEARCH to see and search for members.

Friend requests are confirmed. If Member A requests friendship with Member B, Member B must CONFIRM the friendship befor it will show on your page.

You are free to use whichever browser you like to view the site, however, for the best user experience we recommend using FireFox. With Internet Explorer 8 Release Candidate 1 (IE8) now out we recommend that in IE8 you go to the 'Page" drop down menu (located near the top right of the browser window in IE8) and select "compatibility view" from that menu.

By inviting your friends, you're helping to build a stronger friendship. Click the Invite link in the main menu bar.

Our handy Invite page lets you choose your friends from major social networks like Facebook, MySpace, and YouTube, or from your address book on popular email systems like GMail, Hotmail, AOL, and Yahoo.

When you choose one of these services, you'll be asked for your username and password for that service. That information is *only* used to log in to the service so that you can choose which of your friends to invite. Your account name and password for those services is *not* recorded, stored or otherwise used by Afgfriends.
You can also just enter their email addresses one at a time.

Use the search tool to find the person that you're looking for. Then click that person's profile. In the left-hand column is a link that reads "Add to My Friends". Click it, and a friendship request will be sent to that person. They must approve your friendship request before it becomes active.

But if you're talking about an Afgfriends friend, from your profile, click the "Friends" tab. Then, click on the name of the person you want to remove. This will display his/her profile. In the column on the left-hand side, click the "Remove from My Friends" link.

To set up Twitter sharing you will need to login and go to Account Settings -> Sharing -> Twitter. There you will see a form to enter your Twitter username and password and select which of your updates you would like to share. Then click SAVE.

The option to set up Flickr sharing can be found under Account Settings -> Sharing -> Flickr. You will be prompted to log in to your Yahoo! account, then just follow the steps to complete setup.

Flickr gets treated like "Everyone Else" so if you have your posts hidden for "Everyone Else" it will not share. You will need to be in public mode or in private mode with your privacy set to City level.
